Skin Care Basics

“I’m New to skincare, What do I need to know?”
To the beginner,
There are 3 basics, pillars to good skincare and skin health.
1. Cleanse
2. Treat
3. Protect
CLEANSE
Please use a gentle cleanser such as CeraVe hydrating or Forming cleanser, Fenty Cleanser or Circadia and many others. Stay away from scrub or harsh cleansers as they make your face more oily in the long run and can be the start to having acne for some.

TREAT
This needs to be tailored to your specific skin type.
For oily skin, something with niacinamide.
For Acne, something with salicylic acid or glycolic acid.

PROTECT
This can be broken down into 2 steps, moisturize and sunblock or if you have a combination product like CeraVe Facial moisturizing Lotion (it leaves a white tint) or Fenty Moisturizer (no white tint). The sunscreen component must be at least 30 SPF.
Of course, NO sunscreen at night.
